Newly Concluded Infrastructure Projects Unveiled on Dhuvaafaru Island in Raa Atoll

Dhuvaafaru Island in Raa Atoll saw the official inauguration of recently finalized infrastructural development undertakings. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih led the inauguration ceremony as a pivotal component of his ongoing campaign tour across Raa Atoll. This campaign is aligned with his bid for re-election in the forthcoming Presidential election scheduled for September of this year.

President Solih received a warm and enthusiastic welcome upon his arrival at Dhuvaafaru Island, underscoring the significance of these projects for the local community.

Among the newly unveiled projects on Dhuvaafaru Island are a state-of-the-art football ground, newly constructed roads, and a successful land reclamation venture. The pivotal Dhuvaafaru land reclamation initiative was carried out under the stewardship of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). This endeavor encompassed the reclamation of a substantial 22.2 hectares of land, fortified by the construction of a protective revetment.

Simultaneously, MTCC executed an extensive road construction project, resulting in the establishment of 5.7 kilometers of new roadways. Furthermore, MTCC played a pivotal role in preparing the subbase for the recently inaugurated football ground, which is a prominent highlight of President Solih's tour. The comprehensive project entailed the collaboration of V.A.M. Company Private Limited for turf installation and CoreLine Maldives Private Limited for the essential light installation component.

These developmental upgrades are poised to provide local athletes with a high-quality field, fostering the advancement of football in Dhuvaafaru and beyond. Under the adept guidance of President Solih, the incumbent administration has exhibited a commitment to impartially advancing development across all inhabited islands.
