Maldives Delegation Engages in Talks on Islamic Finance at IsDB Annual Meetings

A delegation from the Maldives, led by Minister Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq and Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, participated in discussions at the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) Annual Meetings 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The delegation met with Dr. Hiba Ahmed, Director General of the Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISFD), to explore ways in which ISFD can bolster Islamic finance initiatives in social sectors within the Maldives. Key topics included potential collaboration on the development of the Maldives Zakat House and investments in awqaf.
